***I copied this from my FB where I originally posted it there in response to LGBT teen suicides and hatespeak towards the LGBT community.  After reading Jennifer's forum post "Troubling Times,"  I felt it was appropriate to move here.  These are my  own sentiments towards my son, who is currently four.

   I, personally, have multiple ideas of what Deity is/is not and some of those ideas can be somewhat contradicting. Tying into my other entry about energy, I see Deity as being the ring of energy that encompasses all, meaning that Deity is within everything that exists. At the same time, I also see "named Deities" as being separate pieces of the whole that can serve as one manifested force of energy within ritual or for a specific purpose.

First of all, this is sorta a little book review that i want to share of a book that pleasantly surprised me.

The book in question is called Mermaid Wisdom. At first glance it just appears be a typical book about mermaids, such as the likes of the kind you get about Dragons and Faeries and other such mythical creatures containing short stories and fantastical illustrations.

Certain people have said this to me from time to time and I must confess that I didn't listen solely because it's hard to hear a good point under the guise of a sarcastic remark, in which the primary point of it being said was to shut me up or rile me up.  Needless to say, it didn't work too well for them (and for the record yes, I know I can be a stubborn brute at times).
