For those not so tech-savvy people such as myself:
I have been using google on this website for quite sometime. I have not been able to add friends, add comments when my settings were more secure, or send mail. I could neither customize my page. That said, I decided to use Internet Explorer instead today and I found that the two work well together. If you are having these problems, this might be your answer.
I know. I should have known. ;)

Comment by Jessica Dukes on Tuesday - I just tried using internet explorer and was able to join a group. Thank you for this information. I will switch my ning groups to IE.
