***I copied this from my FB where I originally posted it there in response to LGBT teen suicides and hatespeak towards the LGBT community.  After reading Jennifer's forum post "Troubling Times,"  I felt it was appropriate to move here.  These are my  own sentiments towards my son, who is currently four.

Over the last few months, I have heard a lot of people both online and off making statements like, "I just want to move on. Can't you just forget about it?" OR "I want a fresh start.  Why are you judging me on things from that past?"  And honestly, I am confused by the logic behind such statements.

Paganism is impregnated with myth, from greek to norse to egyptian. Almost every pagan you meet is at least familiar with one or two. However, I've noticed that a lot do not seem to know what to do with them. What is the point of mythology? Too often I see people taking mythology literally. Someone who believed that "orbs" were the souls of people who did not have the money to pay Charon for passage comes to mind.
