Hi everyone I am new to this site Iwould love to learn Reiki but I have to be content with getting as much information I can for, I do not have the money to get the teaching, I have not read any post but I will. My goal is to reach a higher level of Espirituality I got some material of self-help from a well known autor of these kind of Material. I do not know if I can say the name. mayby when i am more informed of the rules of this site know what to do. love to read books and any info I can get my hands on it.

Yes, Asmodais, it is an interesting book, but overall it is kind of pointless to have. There is a lot of information about reiki outthere, and you can find the same information in that book online. But, the only reason it is pointless to have that book is because it can not give you the ability to practice Reiki. It does not attune you. It can teach you about the attunement process, and it can tell you tons of different techniques, once again, which you can find online. But it does not attune you or give you the ability to practice reiki. Pointless to have.

"Magick of Reiki: Focused Energy for Healing, Ritual, & Spiritual Development" by Christopher Penczak Is a really good book to buy also that gives the symbols and overview of different Reiki systems.

For the record, I have attuned nine people to date. Five of which took the second, and one as Master. Total profit= $0.00

There's zero evidence that Usui charged for Attunements. He 'discovered' it after an inquiry of seeking the universal healing system within all of the religions. It only became tradition to rob people post Takata.

Okay, now that I got that out of my system, hello folks. :)

"The Essential Reiki" by Diane Stein, Jennifer.

It's rather infamous in that she published...well, about everything about Reiki. It does not bother me, really, all of the symbols are painted on his temple, and there is no evidence it was meant to be a real 'secret'. Most of the folks that get pissed about it are those that had to take out a loan to pay for their Attunements, which is ridiculous...an idea supported by The Reiki Alliance, whose point of view on it...well, they can shove it and treat each other afterwards.

I highly recommend getting an attunement if you are going to practice it. It's essentially an initiation and ti passing on of the current. I also recommend staying away from those that charge large amounts for any service. They only want to attune their fingers to your pocketbook, that's all.

I almost bought a book on Reiki today but decided to wait and ask for any suggestions of authors that would be good...want to make sure I get the best possible information :)
