Hello! This group looks great! My husband and I have been on a natural organic path for a while now. I went vegan about 2 1/2 months ago and stopped getting allergy shots and taking my medicine and the changes have been amazing. I haven't been able to breathe so well in more years than I can remember! I'm happy to have found a group for this =)

PS - Annie, I just started a discussion above with some helpful links. The first one addresses asthma!

Hi Annie, welcome!! My Dad's suffered with asthma for years as well and his specialist gave us some suggestions:

1) Get a hepa-filter for your furnace and vacuum to sift out even viruses!

2) Use unscented laundry detergent, dryer sheets (or better yet dry outside in the summer)

3) Use unscented beeswax or PURE soy candles only. Candles with low quality wax or fillers are as bad as running your lawn mower in your house for 1/2 and hour!

4) Wash bedding once a week, or get special dust- mite covers for your pillows. Dust mites can trigger attacks.

He sees an asthma specialist - maybe you could too? Hope this helps! Welcome to the group! :D

Hi!
This group is so perfect for me. I struggle a lot more recently. The doctor diagnosed me with asthma in the summer of last year and I have always had horrible hay fever! Three different types of inhalers, cetirizine hydrochloride and the doc puts me on giant steroids a lot for the old asthma. I'm quite sensitive so it's difficult to use incense or candles a lot, which completely sucks.
It's interesting to look into where your food comes from, we have a lot of farms here in Cumbria (total understatement) so there's always someone selling lovely new potatoes or tomatoes.
Thanks for the invite! :)

Hello everyone!

I was just diagnosed with a bunch of different allergies, and in the crush to make this work, have decided to start a group. If you have cleaning solution recipes, soaps, oils, etc. and gluten, dairy or egg free recipes, please post them here! (Along with any other allergy free things)

Thanks!!
