It is not what holds the mirror but your use of it that is important. When you focus on the trivial you take away from where your will and intent should be situated. Treat it like the tarot, it is the cards and their interpretation that are important, not the bag you keep the cards in.

I have been into Witchcraft since 1982. I work a lot with the tarot. I too am trying my luck at scrying. I have a black mirror but the outside that is holding it in place is plastic. Should it be wood?

Greetings my name is Sage and I just joined this group. I am from Newfoundland, and I have been a pagan since high school. I am intrested in Tarot, Runes, and Scrying.
I had tried scrying in my on the night of the blue moon and I am looking for help with the interpretation of what I saw. I tried using my dream dictionary and it didn't have explanations for what I saw. I saw a lot things associated with the ocean, sea horses, mermaids and a ships and a dolphin. I didn't ask a question really, I was more looking to see what I saw. I would be grateful for any help provided for making sense of what I saw.
