RealPagan- Paganism for the Real World

Just wondered if anyone would be interested in sharing a picture of their altar/shrine? If not a picture, perhaps a description? We all have such different ideas on what we put on our altars/shrines that I thought it would be interesting and inspiring to see what people do with how big or how small their space is, on what their altar, shrine is, and so on. I'll start it off with my very busy, but working, altar. This is a TV stand.

Wow Sephira your altar is beautiful. Mine is a bit messy, got too many things i think =D

Thanks for sharing
BB

Thanks Crow, but yours is NOT at all messy! It's lovely! What are you using for an altar cloth? I like it!

And thanks for posting!

Thanks Sephira.

Well it a scarf i bought some time ago. Its with a celtic pattern, not unlike yours. =D

This is my personal altar to Sekmet who is my patron Goddess.  The altar also includes statues of Anpu, Tehuti, and Mentho who are my patron Gods; and a statue of Bast which was given to me by a dear friend upon her death.

WOW Lark.. they´re beautiful!! I have a weakness for Egyptian items, especially statues. I got Bast, ofc all homes should have one, and i have a small bronze bust of Nefertiti.

Very majestic, Lark!

I don't have a Bast statue, but I do have an Anubis statue. It is mainly because my dog resembles Anubis in the laying down pose with his paws out in front and ears to the back. It's uncanny and I think it has to mean something so I bought the statue and it sits on my altar. I've been meaning to do more research on him, Anubis that is, but it keeps slipping my simple mind.

Oh, just wanted to say that I saw a similar topic on another site and liked it so much that I thought I would start something here. It got a lot of responses there so I'm hoping to get a good showing here. So share please, people! Don't be shy!

wooow Fr.Perseceverabo.. its amazing.. feel a bit middelage-ish here.. LOL

Those Egyptian statues look expensive! Very beautiful, though.

Sephira, I love all the candles!

Fr.Perseceverabo, That looks so clean and organized!

Loving this thread. I'm a newbie and don't have any setup as of yet, and probably won't for a long time.

Just lovely, Fr. Perseceverabo, just lovely!

My altar has changed a bit since this was taken, but it's still basically the same.  I have the statues of my patron and matron deities (Manannan mac Lir and Brighid) as well as the majority of my tools collected through my travels.
Mellissa: An alter can be as simple and unrecognizable as a candle and a table cloth. As long as you know it is there, it is sacred.
