RealPagan- Paganism for the Real World

Well I know this is really random but I'm writing a book and I'm trying to change the vampire novels most are use to. But I can't decide whether to add angels, witches, mer people, demons, or perhaps all of them. Any Ideas? wish I could make this longer but I have to run out the door, blessed be dears.

Try using legendary vampires, instead of hollywood, or Stokers romantic ones. I would suggest the penangallen of milasia, a true nightmare. A woman whose head detaches from their body at night, entrails hanging down. Viscera exuding poison. The only way to elude this thing is to run through thorn bushes. There are others if you do the research. The mythology of life, and blood, suckers, is in almost all civilizations, going back centuries. It is a fear that is primal. I hope this helps.

Make it all an alternate reality where they are the average citizens and we humans are mythological creatures. :)

"Look, a human! I hear some of them can bring bad luck, so you better make sure its cage is made of IRON!"

Actually, it could make in interesting to play on all of the silly generalizations that we humans have of the spirit world. :)

cool idea it has been done a lot. I read this genre usually called urban fantasy. Kim Harrison has vamps weres demons witches and fey. There are many good writers out there but if your work is original and has a good story it should be marketable. I also like the Sookie Stackhouse  books that True Blood is based on and it has some fun twists too. I would say incorporate as many races and types your plot will handle that help the story line.

Why not add all of them and focus on how their perceived backgrounds within the magical community have caused them issues with being taken seriously and how those actions affect their personal behaviors, relationships, and beliefs? That would get me interested. Also I agree with Strata...none of that doofus Tinkerbell noise. :S I wanna read real Fey adventures :D
