I moved away from Quebec Canada in 09 with my two children to live with my husband who is French. Yup, we met on line through a real-life friend.
It was a hard year, prior to the move, of travelling back and forth between Montreal and Paris for my fiancé and I. It was a hard time to get my divorce finalized and get permission from my children's father to move to France. It was a hard time waiting so long to be able to live with the man that I loved. It was a hard time selling the house, packing up my life and choosing what could fit in the container by ship.
After making it all happen, visas, health insurance, marriage recognition in France, and then getting our residency cards, being totally dependent on my husband because life is so different over here from all that I have ever known, and living a year of loneliness without any friends...
I can truly say that we have settled in, we are making new friends, we are getting used to the way of life here and we are happy.
We are home.
Then I met you guys and it was just that much better. :)

I now have no where to write about my frustrations. As I read in Leisha's post, I won't moderate my blog or block comments. If I do take the time to write on a blog what I am feeling or want to express, why not accept what others think about it or their words of wisdom and offers of friendship? Because, it is a huge open door invitation to get your feelings hurt, that is why. With that in mind, I take the risk that someone will take something wrong and twist it and make me feel…

Yuugure said… Goldstone or 'sunstone' is a pretty good stone for runes, yeah. It's a form of jasper, which is exceptionally good for divination, and with the inherant solar properies of goldstone you have a nice, solid combination.
As for the Witch's Runes, I've never really looked into them. Their history is sketchy at best from what I understand, and I like to understand my medium. I definately suggest the Elder Futhark for beginners, regardless. If you feel you're moving beyond then, I would suggest Ogham or the Saxon Futhork as your next step. Both are very complex systems with a rich history, and they tend to feel the most comfortable for experienced rune readers. The Futhork also make very pretty runes.
