The Rules

These are the facts:

  • that each member of Real Pagans, forms part of the expansion and success of this site.

  • that each member forms part of the Real Pagan Experience of everyone else.

  • that Real Pagan is an opportunity to form bonds with people by being respectful, helpful, engaging and authentic.

  • that there are guidelines/rules that need to be adhered to, in order to make this not only a positive experience for yourself, but also help other members enjoy Real Pagan as well.

With those facts known, it is now time to get into the specifics, of what is, and what is not allowed in terms of being a responsible member of Real Pagan.

The Responsible Member Guidelines:

  • Be respectful of the community and its members. You are responsible for your own behavior and thus, should police your own behavior and know when to back away from situations that may cause issues with breaking the following rules :No nudity or pornographic content, No Profanity, No insults or content that is patently offensive and promotes racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm of any kind- against any group or individual. You must be 18 years of age to be a member of this site.

  • Be tolerant of religions and opinions that differ from your own. You do not have to agree with them or support them, but you must be tolerant of those who express them. Others have as much right to hold and express their views as you do to hold and express yours.

  • Be Accountable for Your Actions. You need to be honorable by taking responsibility for your actions online. By being accountable, people will respect you, whether they agree with you or not. Due of the anonymity the Internet allows, do not behave as if there is no accountability while on Real Pagan.

  • Expect to be asked for sources to support any unusual factual claims you may make. If you chose to back those claims with poor sources, do not be surprised, if and when, they are not considered convincing, let alone fact/truth.

  • Bring Value to the Site. If you start a forum: make the effort to not duplicate other posts/topic and stay on top of what you have brought to the site. Also, remember, that if you dislike another site, that’s fine, but do not use Real Pagan as an opportunity to smear another website. Lastly, people disagree: forums are open to all members, which means you will receive comments/arguments both for, and against your topic, do not take this as a personal attack.

  • Remember the “Fair use” clause, to not post more than only a couple of sentences or a very short paragraph from a newspaper, magazine, or web article of copyrighted material without obtaining specific permission from the current copyright owner to post the material. Do not forget, that material taken from web pages, newspapers, magazines, etc. is copyrighted – not giving credit is plagiarism and not getting permission, is a copyright law violation.

  • Remember this is not your place of business. Please confine any advertizing of your business, product, or service, to the market place forum. Please refrain from spamming.

  • Remember:This is a site for adults, NOT an ‘adult  dating site. Please keep that in mind during your interactions, be respectful of one another.

The Consequences of being Non-Responsible Member :

  • Public Warning issued by a Staff Member

  • Editing or deletion of a reported offending post

  • Being put on “post moderation” (a staff member has to approve each of your posts before they appear on the board)

  • Being gagged (unable to post) for a period of time

  • Being banned from community areas for a period of time

  • Loss of privileges to use certain community areas or features

  •  If discovered to be underage, you will be immediately removed.

  •  Permanent ban

In certain specific situations, the Site Administrators or the Service Provider may find it necessary to invoke additional consequences which may include legal action.

Should you find yourself banned, and feel it unjust, please email the site owner, outline the occurrence (date, time, individuals involved, and any other facts that would bring clarification to the situation). The site owner will share this with the admin. board and the situation will be reviewed. The final decision of the board members will hold, and you will be notified of the outcome/decision.

Ive started writing a script and Id appreciate if some fellow witches could read over it critique and add what needs to be said. I want to make this…Continue

It's All Pagan To Me

Posted by Flammeous {De Empress} on August 10, 2016 at 11:00 0 Comments

My practice is Hoodoo. I’m a budding root-worker. A Conjurer.

First let me square some things away.

The one thing to remember with Hoodoo is; it’s not a religion. Wica/Neo-Wicca is a religion. Voodoo is a religion. Santeria is a religion. Hoodoo is not. It’s all about the magick. It’s a fusion of ‘what works’, and it’s influence came from every religion, from every culture that came here to the States, and from those who were already here. To examine the threads that holds the…

There are so many things a performer is afraid of and one of them is – Stage Fright.

Stage fright is an issue for the newbies in the world of public speaking, and it can be a cause of worry even for the experienced. This is because the person about to deliver a speech or give a presentation in a business meeting is often worried about the reception the will receive before, during and after the speech. It is possible that even the most experienced speaker might give a dumb impression…

As Usual

Pagan Pride Day in the Twin Cities yesterday. I skipped it. I am so tired of plastic pagans, those who are there only for self-gratification. I so do not need community, I do not need those who cannot be pagan without being validated by someone else. Christians need community, they need churches to validate themselves and their beliefs. For me, covens are nice and with the exception of Gardnerian, they do not attempt to tell you what to say or how to act or feel. I strengthen my spirituality…
