Hi Annie, welcome!! My Dad's suffered with asthma for years as well and his specialist gave us some suggestions:
1) Get a hepa-filter for your furnace and vacuum to sift out even viruses!
2) Use unscented laundry detergent, dryer sheets (or better yet dry outside in the summer)
3) Use unscented beeswax or PURE soy candles only. Candles with low quality wax or fillers are as bad as running your lawn mower in your house for 1/2 and hour!
4) Wash bedding once a week, or get special dust- mite covers for your pillows. Dust mites can trigger attacks.
He sees an asthma specialist - maybe you could too? Hope this helps! Welcome to the group! :D
