Mindfulness Meditation

I really enjoy this form of meditation...it is simply about being in the moment and focusing on breathing alone...when your mind begins to wonder just gently guide it back to the breath...It can be done daily from three to ten minutes...when done consistently over a period of time it can help immensely with concentration.

Hehehe....I think a meditation bath is in order at this very moment...I am so affected by the weather and the dreariness here is just getting to me...I actually got up and danced my ass off to feel a little better...LOL...now Calgon can take me away;))

LoL, Jennifer, If I lay back and rest my head down, I will fall asleep. When I meditate I sit up so I don't. LoL It works well for me because of all my pain. The hot bath helps relax my legs and hips and it soothes my other pain. I spend a lot of time in the bath because of this, so it just seemed like a good place to meditate. Adding the herbs to the bath made it even more relaxing and was actually pain free for a couple of hours after. :D

Tasha...meditating in the bath sounds just heavenly:))...My only problem is anytime I am in the bath I just tend to drift off if I am too relaxed..hehehe...maybe I am making my bathwater too warm...but a Lavender bath is quite relaxing...I will have to give the meditation a try there:)

Esmeralda... meditation helps so much in relaxing  the body and mind before going to bed. I meditate much longer then 8 mins. But its the only time I have to meditate so I want it to last longer. I don't know how long because I don't time it. Sometimes I come out of it in 10min and sometimes a few hours will go by. Depends on how deep I go, and how relaxed the mind is.  So even if its a few minutes, I still sleep better. Its when I don't meditate I have trouble sleeping.

Just try it out for 5 days. Try to do few minutes a day. Sit. Relax the body. Breath in from your nose and out of your mouth. Concentrate only on breathing like Jennifer said and follow her instructions. Look at the video of Mindfulness Meditation it will help with understanding the breathing. I hope this helps you rest more easily.

Blessings, Jason

Oh, Jason I tried it tonight, with a handful of rosemary, spearmint and chamomile. Left the light off, lit a candle, did my normal guided healing meditation then went into nature sounds. It was the most amazing bath I've EVER had. LoL

I agree with you Tasha. I relax more when I listen to natural sounds like running water or the ocean. I go into deeper meditation with them and have a harder time without. I never tried to meditate in a warm bath before. Maybe one of these day ill try it.
