RealPagan- Paganism for the Real World

Here is a collection of recipes I garnered from the internet and two books I have... Some are similar to one another, and then you come across an odd one that's *totally* different form the rest... Fascinating! :P

EDIT: In the original document I made, I'd forgotten to add what I found on Lucky Mojo... So if you don't have it in the pdf I made, re-download it... Sorry, my bad. LOL

Hey Elise!  I combined a few recipes and used A. what I had my house and B. What felt right to me

2 TBS Lavender

2 TBS Sage

2 TBS Wormwood (Toxic if used in large quantities)

2 TBS Rosemary

2 TBS Peppermint

2 TBS Thyme

2 Quarts of Apple Cider Vinegar

2 Cloves of Garlic

2 TBS Crushed Red Pepper

Combine all ingredients except garlic and red pepper into glass jar.  Allow to sit in a dark, cool place for two weeks.  Shake daily.  After two weeks strain and add crushed garlic and red pepper.  Allow to sit for another week.  Shake daily.  Strain.

I would then add more plant material so the small bottles I sent out.

We'll see how this looks in a few weeks! :)

Very tempting, Strata... :) :)

I know Cheston posted his own 4 Thieves recipe on your RP blog about making High John Oil... Wonder if he would mind posting it on this thread, too?

I didn't realize Cheston posted on my blog...

Oh bother. I'm accumulating bads today. I got things confused again... *gee whiz*

It's actually on this group, in Duir's Hoodoo Oils and Recipes Instructions thread, on page 2 of the comments.

Well, hunting to fix this mistake made me find this post by Elyria:

Sorry about the mix up, Strata... Cheston... and anyone else I confused with this... *blush*

OK, I tried the basic recipe.

Lavender, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, all picked from my garden (with intent)

And a clove of Garlic.

They were then introduced to my kitchen friend, Mr. Chopper

Then I put them all into a jar, and told each herb what they were for.

I then poured over the Cider Vinegar.

I placed the Jar on my work alter and pushed a whole load of energy into the pot.

I placed a crystal ontop of the jar, I have used this point before for pulling energy into things, it always seems to have worked.

So it'll stay here for a few nights, then I'll move it into a dark place to "cook".

Awesome, Gray!!  Let me know how it turns out!!  That one was the first link/recipe on google when I was researching.  I thought about trying it, but ended up mixing a few recipes to make my own.  I am *really* curious about how this one will end up though!!

Good luck!!

Totally envious of your fresh herbs! Would that I had a green thumb, and lived in a proper climate to grow things!

Do give some feedback :)

Yes, its a simple one, but I liked it as all the things are from my garden! ok, the garlic and the vinegar wasn't, but in a few months my home grown garlic will be ready too, lol.

I'll let you know how it goes.

It is one of the bonuses of living in the UK, we can grow "green stuff" well. Well, we dont grow them, we put them in a hole and then try to hack the rampent things into shape! No green thumbs needed.

But as a hayfever sufferer, I find it a killer in the summer here, my nose is blocked and runny (at the same time!) and my mouth, eyes and nose itch like mad and on some days the whites of my eyes fully turn red and sometimes even blister!

So I tell people, I'm a veggie not because I love animals, its because I HATE plants and want them all dead! Even if I have to eat evry last one of them!!! Enjoy the cool north Elise (",)

I'll have to put a blog up soon about my guy and my gradual taming of the garden ;-)

I enjoy the north, I do! But from May/June (depending on when things bud) to August, I'm on daily doses of Claritin myself. *sympathizes with Grayson's itchiness* Allergic to pollen, and it's abundant even here. At times, I use enough tissues to strip a forest bare. *sneezes*
