Gratsy to the followers of old Norse religions on finally getting somewhere to worship.

Reading the comments section people seem to think its silly, and a few complain that Norse religions aren't fluffy bunny material to be played with. I think they only said how its like Hinduism and how calm it is, so the haters of their religion have less ammo. I hope this catches on and everyone around the world can open up their own temples (hopefully without having to get permission first).

So what do you guys think, is this a bunch of bull or are they serious?

I don't really understand this question, "So what do you guys think, is this a bunch of bull or are they serious".

Are you asking if Ásatrúarfélagið are serious? If so, yes they are.

They have been a registered religious organisation in Iceland since 1973 and the temple will be a focal point for their Asatru community. If you are interested there is an interview with the builders of the hof here:

Yes they are absolutely serious.

This religion and belief is the original and ancestral belief of many people.

I for one am very glad to see this come to pass. For many years this belief system was squashedand persecuted and finally just left to be forgotten. My thanks to those with the vision and perseverance to resurrect my ancestral religion.

I would love to visit and hold Blot there someday.

Yes, I also would love to see the temple and participate in a blot but it may surprise you that Ásatrúarfélagið members must be Icelandic citizens so I am not sure that the temple would be available to persons outside their organisation.
