Eddie Buczynski is one of the main founders of the Gay Pagan movement. This biography reveals his life and the lives of New York Pagans in the 1970's and early 80's. Some have already said that this is the perfect compliment to Margot Adler's 'Drawing Down the Moon'. Taking over 8 years to write this book, Michael Lloyd has created a book filled with history, humor and harsh realities.
Whether you're Gay or Straight, this is a must read for those interested in how we got to where we are as Pagans.

Currently available online thru Lulu
http://www.lulu.com/shop/michael-lloyd/bull-of-heaven/paperback/product-20272158.html

Summary by Michael Lloyd
As a teenager, Eddie Buczynski had once dreamed of becoming a Jesuit Priest. Rejected by the Church because of his questioning mind and budding homosexuality, Buczynski's feet were soon set on a different path – one that would lead from his childhood in Ozone Park to the raucous streets of Sixties Greenwich Village, through the burgeoning Neo-Pagan spiritual movement of the Seventies, before finally depositing him into the dusty realm of Classical & Near Eastern archaeology. Bringing together the threads of disparate subcultures, social movements, spiritual paths and characters from the Sixties through the Eighties, Bull of Heaven weaves Buczynski's life into a tapestry that encompasses the history of the NewAge and occult in New York City. And in so doing, it highlights the heretofore untold contributions of GLBT men and women who helped to shape the face of modern Neo-Paganism.
Youtube and the Tarottag:realpagan.net,2012-05-18:6330711:Topic:1738652012-05-18T21:03:44.800ZJake-Ryan Kenthttp://realpagan.net/profile/JakeRyanKent

Hey all, I have an idea of sorts for those who are new (or not) to the Tarot and want to possibly get working with it some more. Youtube. I am toying with the idea of looking at the cards through video, using my decks and going over things like spreads, some difficult interpretations, the court cards especially, and other things.

What do you guys think about this?

Does anyone have first hand experience with the online site - Magicka School?
It looks like they have some interesting advanced classes and other tools available with a "paid membership" of $50ish. They have a couple of free basic classes and several other educational forums available as well

Any experience or reliable hearsay would be appreciated.
Thanks and Blessings
I found this article by Ronald Hutton addressing the concept of the "Great Goddess" who was supposed to have been worshiped throughout Europe prior to the coming of the evil, patriarchal Sky Gods. Although this idea has lost favor over the past decade and is no longer considered by scholars to be a likely scenario, we see it still amongst modern Pagans, particularly in the more feminist Traditions. I thought it would be an interesting read and a good reference for our site. Here's the link: …

This is an older tract on a specific ritual in traditional witchcraft that some may find interesting. http://www.scribd.com/doc/21366964/Chumbley-Andrew-One-The-Grimoire-of-the-Golden-Toad Note that it takes a bit for the pages to load but it's worth the wait.
Here is a link to an excellent site regarding archeological finds related to the various practices of folk magic in Britain. http://www.apotropaios.co.uk/ Primarily these finds were ones aimed at averting evil or witchcraft aimed at the inhabitants of the protected structures.
