Nite Before Xmas: a soldier's poem.

With so many away from home this season, I wanted to post this. It was written by a Brit but applies to so many on foreign deserts and battlefields. I post this to honor my youngest son, who is in Af…

Follow Through

It seems to me that one of the biggest problems people have when dealing with witchcraft is the inability to follow through. When you make up your mind to do something you must be ready to invest all…

Yes, it would. The problem therefore is that the adherents to said word, whether inspired or manipulated hold blindly that said word is inviolate and correct...no matter its origin. The book itself states that it is a sin against God to change it...…

Sutra, Yes. The unchangeable inspired word of God is changed often to suit the desires of the day. The original was that a poisoner should not be suffered to live. Even as a mis-translation, it carries weight with the adherants of common dogma who a…

Jehovah's Witnesses follow two gods and are therefore polytheistic. I digress. We are a cauldron. We are known by many names and many paths. Some of us practice magic and some do not. Some of us are polytheistic and some are not. Some of us are trad…

I will reprint, rather than repeat. This is from 11-13-10.   I want to start this blog by thanking Albiana, who rendered a quality answer to the, "All Paths" forum post. As pagans, witches, Wiccans and practitioners of other paths and traditions tha…

Yes, man's attempt to define the unknowable. He seeks solace and comfort in ideas and concepts of his own creation, perhaps, or in interpretation of signs and/or channelled messages. The greatest mystery and all will, in their own time, face that my…

You are right about Cthulu, unless you believe that man creates and empowers the gods. As for the other two, perhaps they do not need to return because they have never departed. My attempt at humor was lacking, sorry.

Perhaps Cthulu? Set? Eris? No, perhaps it does not matter.

Very good Elise, the Philosopher's Stone and the Age of Aquarius: I stand down. It is interesting to see something so non-dogmatic make so much sense in a very slanted and biased discussion.

The author in question stated that Christians have lived, day to day over two thousand years under the promise of the second coming. It has not come. That was the premise of her arguement. Since I also have not seen its coming, I tend to agree with…

The writer who stated this is a Wiccan and also an ELCA Pastor. It was her judgement, not mine that I posted here. You would not like mine.

I think it was best put in the book, Between Two Worlds. The Christian has believed and lived a lie for over two thousand years and the best way to feel better about this fact is to find or convert others to also believe the lie...the more who belie…

Aislynn, if people would only look to the possibility of magick with childlike wonder. To see what can be, not what you have been taught cannot be. Very good article and many hugs. Hits 'Like' button.

We mutts are not a breed apart, but rather we have in our blood the ability to grasp and celebrate the many parts that make up the whole. We have the genetic memories of many peoples, and they are there to discern and learn and practice and gleen an…

Gerald Gardner, in Witchcraft Today, stated that Satan was the accepted leader of, in my interpretation of his writing, massive gatherings for rituals and sabbaths, of witch cults. He might have been the high priest of a coven, the high priest of an…

Rambling Observations

Posted on January 22, 2011 at 12:09am — 3 Comments

I have heard it said that the Goddess will present you with a life changing, never easy, never simple confrontation in your life with every degree of initiation that you will face.

I have three ex-wives and I have given away three houses. I have six children who will not speak with me. I have at least five grandchildren who I have never met.

I have invested myself in a career that I can no longer work. I am relying on my loving wife to support our house and bless her, she is…

12 Step Program for Fluffies

Posted on January 6, 2011 at 10:35am — 1 Comment

I just hijacked this from Adult Pagans, not sure whe the author is.

The 12 steps to Fluffy Bunny recovery

1. We admitted that we are powerless over our fluffieness. That our lives have become annoying to ourselves and others

2. We came to belive in a power greater than ourselves that could save us from Fluffieness ( and it is not Silver Ravenwolf )

3. We made a decision to turn our lives over to the care of the GOD and the GODDESS as we undertand…

30 Truths / 2

Posted on December 17, 2010 at 10:48pm — 0 Comments

Something I love about myself. This one is simple in a convoluted way. I love that I have the ability to move people with my writing. While I hate that I can cause harm with my words, I love that I can teach, tell stories, relate ideas and move people emotionally when I write from the heart or thought rather than from gut-level reaction.
