Greetings, Jaci,
As somebody who lives by my almanac and the moon lore contained within on a daily basis, doing everything I do on the strength of what it comes up with accordingly... Zodiac's (Astrology) are quite important to me.
However, I have not had the good fortune to study and learn it to the level I would like yet... but I hope the chance will come along one day.
I have had my birth chart drawn up for me by a chap called David Rowan, over here in the UK he is fast earning a reputation for knowing his stuff, and although he supplied me with a glossary of notes to go with it I have to confess much of what is contained in the print out goes way over my head at the current time.
I have come across folk who hold with the 12 signs and the attributes they give to folk, and I have also come across folk who think it's all a load of bunkum... some say they are "supposed to be" a "typical" Cancer, but they are more like a Libran or whatever... and think the whole system is wrong, while there are those who say "they ARE a typical Scorpio" and hold with the whole birth stone/ideal partner kit and kaboodle of it, I guess I fall into that category myself to a great extent.
I'm Taurean, married to a Capricorn, and there's an Aquarian and a Arien (our Sons) living here too so it makes for some interesting times, on occasion, it can be a bit like the unstoppable force meets the unmoveable mountain... yet on the whole, things run quite smoothly.
There are those who are interested in the 13th sign of the zodiac, Ophiuchus, ( and even now a 14th - Cetus) which has come about inbetween those who follow Astronomy and Astrology due to the Earth's wobble... which seems to have set the cat among the pidgeons somewhat as this means some of us are no longer what we were born technically speaking...
But I have to say I stick with 12 for the purposes of what I refer to the almanac for, and I do believe myself and my family are quite "typical" of their birth signs, yep... and I do hold with what my almanac advizes me... it's just the way I roll.

If it's a daily horoscope forecast you seek you might like to look here www.astrology.com they ask you to fill in your details and they send you free daily readings.
Not sure how accurate they are as I only just found it, but it might be worth giving it a try and see how it pans out for you!

I am and always have been in love with astrology & the zodiac. It was one of the first craft callings I had as a youth. As stated before some practitioners don't hold faith in the personality traits, but I have yet to meet one who didn't use them to find appropriate spell times. There is so many wonderful ways to use the stars. Also, I am a tropical studier but my husband uses the sidereal system. At this point I am not sure which is "better". I think that any system you use to get your intent across successfully is just fine.
